"Occupational therapy practitioners enable people of all ages to live life to its fullest by helping them promote health, and prevent—or live better with—injury, illness, or disability. Helping people across the lifespan to do the things that they need and want to do through therapeutic use of daily activities"
American Occupational Therapy Association
Our Mission

To share information, and educate new, and transitioning pediatric Occupational Therapy practitioners
on the educational,
and medical service delivery models.

Our Vision
Transition2Peds will serve as
an educational resource to guide
new, and transitioning pediatric Occupational Therapy practitioners
in navigating the educational, and medical service delivery models in assessment, care plan, and reimbursement specific to these models.

"The impact of outcomes and the way they are defined are specific to clients
and to other stakeholders such as payers and regulators.
Specific outcomes and documentation of those outcomes vary by practice setting and are influenced by the stakeholders in each setting”
American Occupational Therapy Association[AOTA], 2014, p. S16

Issues with reimbursement can lead to children not receiving the quality of services they need, and can prove to be costly for both families and practitioners.
